WHERE THE MONEY GOES

What is Proud of Our People, Our Business, Our Community?

At Chances Maple Ridge, we recognize that our volunteer efforts and presence in the community is as integral to our business as the operation itself. As a member of the Great Canadian Entertainment family, Chances Maple Ridge is humbled by the opportunity to be an active community partner in Maple Ridge and the region. Simply put, we are PROUD of the positive difference that Chances Maple Ridge can make by supporting local organizations either through time, resources, or talent.

PROUD of our people

Our PROUD employee volunteer program allows us as an organization to recognize, encourage, and reward the efforts of our colleagues who volunteer and support their communities. It is because of their charitable endeavours and desire to affect meaningful change that we are able to achieve our goal, which is to positively impact the various needs, causes, and projects that matter most in our communities.

PROUD of our business

Every year, Great Canadian Entertainment invests over $2 million in communities across the country. Chances Maple Ridge’s PROUD community activities, countless volunteer hours and hundreds of events and fundraisers support this contribution and directly impact local groups and those that they help.

COMMUNITY   HOW WE CAN HELP  COMMUNITY ACTION

In British Columbia, approximately two-thirds of gross gaming revenue from the gaming facilities goes directly back to the government, through the BC Lottery Corporation, for the purpose of supporting programs like healthcare, education and social services. The remaining one-third of gaming revenue is retained by service providers, such as Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, to pay for wages, building costs, taxes and other operational services.
